My Personal Healing Journey
For most of my life, I was searching—searching for healing, for understanding, for a way to break free from patterns I didn’t even realize were holding me back. What I needed was a trauma recovery approach rooted in embodied processing, one that worked directly with the body's wisdom instead of relying solely on memory.
I grew up experiencing deep developmental trauma—family violence, neglect, instability—shaping how I saw myself and the world. Later, I unknowingly fell into relationships that mirrored those early wounds, struggling with anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, and the effects of domestic violence. I spent over 30 years trying to “fix myself.”
Traditional therapy often felt frustrating—I couldn’t recall much of my trauma, making progress difficult. Determined to heal, I immersed myself in psychology, social work, and somatic therapies, gaining formal qualifications along the way. But it was Embodied Processing that truly changed everything.
Instead of searching for forgotten details, I learned how to gently work with my nervous system—a trauma recovery approach that fosters deep healing, even without precise memories.
Rather than just coping, I shifted from simply surviving to truly healing and more than anything, I wish I had known about trauma and attachment when my children were young—that’s why I’m so passionate about this work today
Healing is possible. Trauma recovery through embodied processing begins with awareness, safety, and self-compassion—guiding you toward reconnection, resilience, and peace.
